Joseph Voros – A generic foresight process framework
This resource presents a general framework for the foresight process, drawing on established work by Mintzberg, Horton, and Slaughter. Developed during the author’s efforts to integrate foresight into strategic planning at an Australian public university, the framework maps out clear stages, from initial information collection to the creation of outputs that feed into strategy and planning. Besides guiding the development of tailored foresight projects, this framework can also help diagnose and evaluate how foresight and strategic activities are carried out within organisations. The author also shares key insights gained from over two years of hands-on foresight practice within an institutional setting.
